After spending four days in captivity of gunmen with his driver, Mr Abdul Dogo, a judge of the Federal High Court 2, Akure, has regained his freedom. Dogo, sources said, was released around 2.00am yesterday. However, it was not certain whether relatives of the jurist paid any ransom before his release. After collecting N13.6 million in two tranches, unknown gunmen yesterday released six female students and two staff of Engravers College, Kakau Daji, Chikun Local Government Area, Kaduna State kidnapped about 24 days ago. A judge of Federal High Court, Akure, Ondo State, Mr Abdul Dogo, was kidnapped on Tuesday evening by gunmen. British police found the bodies of 39 people inside a truck at an industrial estate near London on Wednesday and said they had arrested the driver on suspicion of murder. Ms Ijeoma Ojukwu of Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday reviewed the bail conditions earlier granted to publisher of Sahara Reporters, Mr Omoyele Sowore. The court on October 4 granted bail of N100 million to Sowore and and his co-accused, Mr Olawale Bakare, N50 million. Ojukwu said Sowore should produce two sureties in like sum.
