Strangely

A Florida couple said they are grateful to a "Christmas angel" who found their bag containing $250,000 worth of jewelry and tracked them down to return it. Joe Fitzgerald of Pinellas County said he and his wife, Elif, attended the annual Denim and Diamonds charity event for Hands Across the Bay on Saturday, and they were among the sponsors of the event so they had a lot to pack up at the end of the night. She had been wearing her hair straight until then, and admits that the transition was pretty tough at first, as she didn’t know how to properly manage her natural hair texture. She eventually got used…

Why smart people fail to be happy

“If you’re so smart, how come you aren’t happy?” That’s Naval Ravikant’s challenge¹ to everyone bathing in the misery of their own intelligence. “Happiness is a choice,” he says; something you can work on, like your fitness, nutrition, or career. Naval knows it’s a choice because he too had to make it for himself: “I was born poor and miserable, and I’m now pretty well off and very happy — and I worked at those.” Naval also knows that’s an unpopular statement to make for two reasons: Some people are depressed at a molecular level and thus have a real,…
If you are wondering how to spend a penny in space, well the answer is to spend £14million. That's because space toilets cost a pretty penny. One space toilet on the ISS cost $19million. Why was it so expensive? Well, space toilets are like super-special vacuum cleaners. They need a complex series of pipes and vacuum tubes to suck up waste and dry it out. The extracted water is recycled, and the waste is stored. Eventually, it is sent back into Earth’s atmosphere, where it burns up like shooting stars. In 2007, NASA agreed to pay $19million (£14million) for a…
