IBEDC re-launches Meter Assets Providers Scheme

Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has re-launched the Meter Assets Providers Scheme (MAPS), which allows customers to pay upfront for energy through the prepaid meter option. Chief Operating Officer (COO), of IBEDC, John Ayodele, while speaking with journalists in Ibadan, said the re-launch followed the directive given by National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to give customers the choice to purchase meters. MTN and Mafab Communications Limited have won the bid for the 5G spectrum auctioned by the federal government Monday. Nigerian airline, Air Peace, has rejected claims made by aviation authorities in the United Arab Emirate, on why the country decided to deny it flight slots in the Middle-East country.
