NCAA fines Arik N6m over delay of passengers’ luggage

Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has fined Arik Air N6m over its passengers’ complaints of delay and inability of the airline to ferry their luggage from London to Lagos from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of December, 2016. The airline was also directed to pay each affected passenger, the sum of $150 as compensation for inconveniences suffered as a result of the delayed arrival of their luggage, within 30 days of the date of the letter. Ministry budgets N1.7bn for foreign trips

International trips of officials at the Foreign Affairs Ministry will gulp N1.7 billion in the 2017 fiscal year, the budget proposal shows. The budget details indicate that out of the N13.2 billion allocated to the main foreign ministry, a total of N1.7 billion was budgeted for international travels. Local trips will cost N19.5 million. Two killed as female suicide bombers attack Maiduguri cattle market

Two female suicide bombers on Monday caused heavy explosion outside the gate of Maiduguri cattle market leading to the death of one of them.
