India is on track to overtake China as the planet's most populous country next year, according to a U.N. report published on Monday. The report, from the population division of the U.N.'s Department of Economic and Social Affairs, said China and India were each home to over 1.4 billion people in 2022. US court grants Shell, Exxon leave to enforce $1.8bn arbitration award against Nigeria

A U.S. appeals court on Friday said Exxon Mobil Corp and Royal Dutch Shell Plc affiliates may try to enforce part of a $1.8 billion arbitration award against Nigeria's state-run oil company, in a dispute concerning oil extraction near the African country's coastline. Flood sweeps vehicles, occupants away in Lagos

Five people were swept away by a flood in the Oyatoki area of Agege, Lagos state on Saturday. 16 passengers missing as another boat capsizes in Lagos

Barely three days after a 20-passenger boat ferrying 17 persons capsized and two persons died on Lagos water channel, another passenger boat carrying 16 persons late Friday night capsized with all passenger onboard declared missing. Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami on Friday, got married to Nana Hadiza, a daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari.
