Nigeria beat South Africa to claim 9th AWCON trophy

Super Falcons of Nigeria have won the 2019 TOTAL Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, AWCON, in Accra, Ghana.

Nigeria defeated South Africa 4-3 on penalty shootout after the game ended scoreless draw.

Super Falcons were champions in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2016.
