Gunmen kidnap 10 policemen in Kogi

Suspected gunmen kidnapped ten police officers of the Nasarawa State Command in Kogi State on Sunday. The police personnel were returning from Osun State, where they were posted as part of the police contingent in the just concluded governorship election in the state. Federal government has extradited a wire fraud suspect, Fatade Olamilekan, to the United States to face charges. A Catholic priest abducted last week was found murdered on Tuesday while his colleague managed to escaped from his captors in Kaduna state, the local diocese said. John Mark Cheitnum and Donatus Cleophas were seized in the town of Lere when attending a parish function at Christ the King Catholic Church, Yadin Garu last Friday.
