Gunmen abduct 50 residents from Kaduna community

Gunmen have reportedly abducted at least 50 people from Damari community in Birnin-Gwari LGA of Kaduna state. The gunmen were said to have invaded the community on Saturday after troops of the Nigeria military escorted some residents to neighbouring communities. In recent weeks, Damari community has reportedly been under the siege of Ansaru insurgents, a faction of Boko Haram. Terrorists kill 20, abduct many in fresh attack on Sokoto community

No fewer than 20 persons have been killed following an attack by terrorists on Duma village in the Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State. Terrorists storm military checkpoint at Abuja border town, kill soldiers

Gunmen have engaged troops of the Nigerian Army in a shootout in Madalla, Niger State, Punch Newspaper reports. An oil pipeline capable of hauling 180,000 barrels a day across Nigeria has ceased transporting crude since mid-June due to theft, according to a person familiar with the information. Robbers attack bullion van, kill bank official, injure three police officers, cart away cash

An official of a commercial bank was, on Tuesday, killed when some armed robbers ambushed a bullion van conveying money to Umuahia, the Abia State capital.
