Elections: IGP orders aerial surveillance of Lagos, maps out flashpoints in metropolis

Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, has ordered a special deployment in the air, land and water in Lagos for Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections in collaboration with sister security agencies. Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Operations, Johnson Kokumo, who disclosed this on Thursday, said about 27,000 policemen were already in Lagos. 87.2m PVCs collected. This is the number for your state

Independent National Electoral Commission, on Thursday, released the number of collected and uncollected Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the forthcoming elections. PVC collection ended on February 5, after the commission extended the process twice. A total of 87,209,007 PVCs were collected, with 6,259,229 uncollected as of February 5. This is contained in a document released by INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, at the daily briefing held at the National Collation Centre in Abuja. CBN fulfills promise, gives cash to INEC

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received cash from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for election logistics.
