Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have scheduled an emergency meeting to discuss the crisis rocking the party. Seven deputy national officers of the opposition party resigned on Tuesday in protest against what they called “poor leadership”. Supreme Court of Nigeria has dismissed the appeal filed by Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party, challenging the election of Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu. In the majority judgment, four of the justices of the apex court upheld the decision of the Court of Appeal and the Ondo State Governorship Election Petition.
