Suspected herders kill family of 5, 15 others in fresh Benue attacks

It was a black Thursday in Benue State as suspected herders renewed their onslaught on communities in two local government areas of the state. Sources disclosed that the herders at separate times on Thursday attacked Waya in Jato Aka and Mbapa as well as Ikyande communities in Kwande and Gwer West Local Government Areas of the state respectively. Scores were reportedly killed but so far, eight corpses were said to have been recovered at Waya in Jato-Aka in Kwande local government area and 12 corpses recovered from Mbapa and Ikyande in Gwer West council as of 3:30 pm on Friday.…

Bandits gun down Kaduna captives, threaten to kill 23 more over failure to pay ransom

There was panic at Ungwan Bulus in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State as bandits killed three of the 26 villagers abducted on March 21, 2022. After abducting them, the bandits had demanded N20 million ransom for each of the captives. Explosion in Taraba market kills 3, injures 19

Three persons have been killed, while several others sustained injuries in an explosion that occurred in Iware community of Taraba state. The incident occurred on Tuesday at a drinking spot within the Iware cattle market axis. Gunmen kill INEC official in Imo

Nwokorie Anthony, an official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has been shot dead in Imo State. The official was killed during the Continuous Voter Registration Exercise (CVR) exercise in Ihitte Uboma Local Government Area of the state. Hoodlums numbering over 30 disrupted proceedings in the hearing of a suit into the disputed ward, local government and state congresses of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the Bayelsa State High Court. Gunmen kill four officers in another attack on police facilities in Anambra

Four police officers were killed Wednesday when gunmen attacked Atani Divisional Police Headquarters in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria’s Southeast. Gunmen kill Miyetti Allah leader in Abuja community

Terrorists threaten to kill abducted train passengers if FG fails to meet demands
