Final count shows 10 killed, 252 inmates escaped in Jos prison attack – Official

Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has confirmed that 10 persons were killed and 252 inmates escaped during the attack by gunmen on Sunday on the Jos Medium Security Custodial Centre. Spokesperson of NCoS, Francis Enobore, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja. He said the dead include a worker at the facility and nine inmates. They were killed during a gun battle after the invading gunmen were trapped inside the centre. Two officers missing, three wounded as gunmen ambush police convoy in Ebonyi

Two police officers are missing, while three others were injured during an attack on a convoy in Effium Community, Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on Sunday. Pirates kill four, abduct six oil workers in Bayelsa

Four persons were on Sunday feared killed and six others abducted by pirates in Bayelsa State. Gunmen kill two police officers, burn their bodies in Anambra

Police in Anambra state said two of their officers have been shot dead and their bodies burnt by their attackers. One officer is still missing, according to the police.
