Some gunmen have killed at least 10 persons in the Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State. Wase Local Government Area, a federal constituency, is being represented by Idris Wase, who is the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. No fewer than 20 villagers have been abducted by bandits in Wurno local government area of Sokoto State, residents have said. The bandits carried out simultaneous attacks Sunday night in Kwasare and Chacho villages, the residents reported. Wurno is one of the local government areas in Sokoto East where activities of bandits have been on the rise. The area has witnessed kidnapping, killing and burning of houses and shops. Gunmen abduct medical doctor in Adamawa

Gunmen broke into a hospital in Yola, Adamawa State capital Monday evening, and abducted the owner. The victim, Saidu Bala, is the immediate past Medical Director of Specialist Hospital, Yola. Nine worshippers have been killed by gunmen in an attack on a mosque at Tungan Ba’are village in Mashegu LGA of Niger state. According to the Niger police command, six other people were injured in the attack that took place on Thursday. Monday-Bala Kuryas, commissioner of police in the state, said the worshippers were killed during morning prayer. Residents of 1000 Housing Estate in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, woke up to an explosion Saturday morning. The explosion believed to have been triggered by Boko Haram fighters sparked tension in the area.
