Armed persons for several hours late Saturday attacked 15 communities in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, killing at least seven people. Residents said the attacks started from late on Saturday, Christmas Day, to the early hours of Sunday. More than 70 travellers have been reportedly abducted along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road in Kaduna State. According to Channels Television, the incident occurred around Udawa village after Buruku in Chikun Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday.
