Bandits kill 4, kidnap 63 in attacks on Kaduna communities

Two persons were on Friday killed during an attack by bandits on Ungwan Gimbiya community, in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Over 50 residents of the community were also said to have been abducted by the attackers who invaded the area in the early hours of Friday. The attack was carried out barely a week after the state government restored telecommunication services that had earlier been shut down to tackle insecurity in some parts of the state. 5,000+ inmates have escaped from prisons attacked by gunmen in the last one year. These are the places and dates the breaches occurred

In the last one year, 5,238 inmates have escaped from various prisons across Nigeria, according to a PREMIUM TIMES analysis. Final count shows 10 killed, 252 inmates escaped in Jos prison attack – Official

Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has confirmed that 10 persons were killed and 252 inmates escaped during the attack by gunmen on Sunday on the Jos Medium Security Custodial Centre. Bandits kill 7, abduct women, children in Zamfara community

Bandits have reportedly chased residents out of Yan Buki village in Zurmi local government area of Zamfara State.
