Niger villages deserted as terrorists kill 20, abduct scores in fresh attacks

Terrorists have invaded some communities in the Magama Local Government Area of Niger State and allegedly killed some residents, abducted others, mostly women and children, as well as rustled cattle. Chairman, Magama Local Government Council, Safiyanu Ibeto, who confirmed the incident, revealed that the terrorists invaded Mabirni, Zoma, Bado,Yangalu, Buga and Zabbi communities on Saturday. “The incident happened on Saturday and the bandits came in large numbers through the Mabirni community,” Ibeto said. Railway track vandalism forces train on trip from Ibadan to Lagos to a stop

Gunmen attack police checkpoint, kill 3 officers in Enugu

There was pandemonium in the Enugu State capital on Thursday as gunmen attacked a police checkpoint and killed three policemen. The hoodlums were also said to have shot a point-of-sale operator in the leg. While making away with the operator’s money, they reportedly abducted a woman around the area. Fierce gun battle brings down two soldiers, four separatists in Anambra

Four gunmen suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network, the paramilitary arm of the Indigenous People of Biafra, have been killed by troops of the Nigerian Army in Ihiala town, Anambra State. Oyo Police narrate how Lagos-Ibadan expressway kidnappers were arrested

Police in Oyo State have arrested no fewer than 12 suspects allegedly connected with cases of kidnapping at Onigari in Oluyole Local Government Area on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. 50 residents abducted from community in latest terrorist attack in Katsina
