Abba Kyari, the suspended deputy commissioner of police (DCP), has been transferred to the custody of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA). The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) had earlier announced the arrest of Kyari over alleged links with an international drug cartel. The NDLEA had on Monday declared the embattled Kyari and four other police officers wanted. Hoodlums activities on the railway track forced train movement on the Lagos-Ibadan Railway section to temporarily stop on Saturday. Two policemen and a civilian have been confirmed dead after armed robbers attacked a bullion van conveying money from a bank on Iwo Road to the Idi Ape area of Ibadan, Oyo State. There was pandemonium in the Enugu State capital on Thursday as gunmen attacked a police checkpoint and killed three policemen. Four gunmen suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network, the paramilitary arm of the Indigenous People of Biafra, have been killed by troops of the Nigerian Army in Ihiala town, Anambra State.
