Many officers killed as gunmen bomb Immigration Service HQ in Abia

Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) headquarters in Ubakala, Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State, has been attacked by gunmen suspected to be members of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The NIS headquarters in the state is located few distances away from a Police formation within Ubakala which was previously attacked by these hoodlums and resulted in the death of two Policemen. Kidnappers free 14 Greenfield university students in Kaduna

Kidnappers have released the remaining 14 students who had been held captive after being abducted last month from a private university in Kaduna, a senior member of the teaching staff said on Saturday. Parents and family members of the remaining kidnapped students and workers of the Greenfield University, Kaduna State, said they were forced to sell their property to raise ransom as the remaining victims regained freedom. Bandits kill ten in fresh attacks on Niger state communities

Ten persons have been reportedly killed by bandits who attacked some villages in Wushishi LGA of Niger state. Eyewitnesses reported that the bandits also rustled hundreds of cattle during the attack carried out on Friday. Two policemen killed in gun battle with bandits in Zamfara

Police in Zamfara said an unspecified number of bandits have been gunned down while two policemen died in the exchange of gunfire. Gunmen kill 21 vigilantes, village head in Sokoto communities
