Gunmen yesterday besieged Nasarawa State Ministry of Finance, Budget and Planning in Lafia and catered away N100 million at gunpoint. Robbers numbering about 15 on Thursday attacked a bullion van conveying cash to Akure, the state capital. The attack happened in Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area. It was however gathered the robbers failed in the operation as combined security operatives thwarted the move. 7 naval officers kidnapped In Edo

Seven officers of the Nigerian Navy have been abducted in Edo State. The security personnel were abducted while travelling to Delta from Kaduna. It was gathered that five of the Naval officers have been rescued by the police.
