Boko Haram destroys electricity masts supplying power to Maiduguri

After destroying several electricity masts thereby cutting off Maiduguri metropolis from enjoying electricity for about nine months, four other electricity masts supplying power along Damaturu-Maiduguri Road in Borno State were blown off again by suspected members of Boko Haram/ISWAP Friday night. This latest setback came barely one month after NNPC commenced building of gas plant to provide electricity to the troubled state in the Northeast sub-region. Gunmen kill three policemen in Anambra

Three policemen on duty in Onitsha, Anambra State, were on Sunday killed by gunmen. The incident, it was gathered, happened around 9 am on the Ukaegbu/Ezeiweka road in Onitsha. Two worshippers were abducted while one was killed on Sunday when gunmen attacked ECWA church in Kabba, Kogi state. Man who unlocked nearly 2m phones of major telecom network gets 12 years in prison

A man who the Department of Justice of the United States says unlocked AT&T customers’ phones for a fee was sentenced to 12 years in prison, in what the judge called “a terrible cybercrime over an extended period,” which allegedly continued even after authorities were on to the scheme. Gunmen blow up Kogi prison, kill 2 security guards, free inmates

Heavily armed gunmen raided a jail in Kogi state late on Sunday, blowing up the perimeter fence and freeing 266 inmates - almost everyone in the prison, authorities said. Gunmen kill 11 in same Kaduna community pastor was murdered

An attack on Apiyejim-Kibori community in Zango-Kataf LGA of Kaduna state has left eleven people dead. Gunmen burn three policemen inside patrol van In Delta
