Hours after their abduction, some of the kidnapped travellers in Ondo State have been rescued by men of the State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun. According to reports, the persons were kidnapped by bandits along the Ido-Ani-Ifira Expressway, in Akoko South-East Local Government Area of Ondo State on Tuesday. An 18-seater passenger bus conveying the victims was said to be heading towards Abuja from Lagos, when it was attacked. Three officers of the Delta State Police Command have been shot dead, with their corpses set on fire. The officers attached to Umutu Divisional Police Headquarters, were killed at a checkpoint along the Obeti/Oliogo Road in Ukwuani Local Government Area of the state. Gunmen have kidnapped three workers of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo at a village in Abeokuta on Wednesday.
