EFCC lists 144 forfeited lands, luxury houses for auction

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has listed for auction 144 luxury houses and lands seized from convicted politicians, public servants, business moguls and internet fraudsters as proceeds of their corrupt practices ranging from money laundering and fraud to misappropriation of funds and fraudulent diversion, among others. Terrorists kill 4, abduct 100 farmers from Niger state communities over failure to pay levies

Bandits have killed no fewer than four farmers and abducted over 100 others including women and children from 14 communities in Mashegu and Rafi local government areas of Niger State in the last three weeks. It was gathered that more than half of the victims were kidnapped while harvesting maize, beans, guinea corn and soya beans on their farms. Bandits abduct yet another 16 from Kaduna community

Barely 24 hours after the kidnap of 45 residents in Aku Community, bandits have again abducted 16 people in another attack on Angwan Pa community in the same Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. Gunmen kill at least 38 villagers in Southern Kaduna

Gunmen killed at least 38 villagers in Kaduna state, residents and a local community group said on Tuesday. Doyin Okupe escapes being taken to jail, pays N13m fine

Doyin Okupe, director-general of the Peter Obi presidential campaign council, has paid N13 million as fine for breaching the Money Laundering Act. Okupe was found guilty of 26 out of a 59-count charge preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
